Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Featherweight prospect Austin Bashi was scheduled to face Lucas Brennan this weekend (Sat., Nov. 7, 2026) inside Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. However, Brennan withdrew after suffering a complete ACL tear.

Bashi will remain on the card and now welcome Fury FC Featherweight champion Carlos Calderon to the Octagon on just four days' notice.

Heavy.com was first to report the replacement.

OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA - JULY 18: Austin Bashi prepares to face Jose Delgado in a featherweight fight during the UFC Fight Night event at Paycom Center on July 18, 2026 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. (Photo by Jeff Bottari/Zuffa LLC) Bashi (14-2) was widely considered one of the best prospects in the United States when he earned a UFC contract on Season 8 of Contender Series . Thus far, however, his Octagon run has not lived up to those lofty expectations.

The 25-year-old suffered his first professional loss against Christian Rodriguez in his UFC debut before rebounding with a first-round submission of John Yannis ( watch highlights ). Bashi then dropped a hard-fought unanimous decision to Jose Delgado at UFC Oklahoma City in July, leaving him with a 1-2 promotional record.

Saturday's matchup carries additional pressure because it is the final fight on Bashi's current UFC contract. A convincing victory would strengthen his case for a new deal, while a third loss in four Octagon appearances could place his future with the promotion in jeopardy.

Calderon (11-4) enters UFC as the reigning Fury FC Featherweight champion.

"The Chief" captured the belt by submitting longtime UFC veteran Damon Jackson with a fourth-round rear-naked choke. He successfully defended the title last month, defeating Lorram Esteves via unanimous decision across five rounds.

Calderon is riding a three-fight winning streak and has won five of his last six appearances. The 31-year-old owns a 73 percent finishing rate, with six of his 11 professional victories coming by submission.
